Part-time cleaner required for Hale Village Hall.
Part-time Cleaner Job Description
Reporting to the Hall Manager and Chair of the Hall Management Committee.
To clean the village hall to a good standard after each school day and after weekend events. The work will be shared between two cleaners so cleaning cover can be maintained and, therefore, some weekend work will probably be required. Flexibility is needed and there is a choice of working hours to some extent.
A cleaning schedule and training will be provided. All cleaning materials and protective workwear are supplied.
The ability to work alone is expected and a DBS check is essential and will be arranged for the successful applicant.
Hourly rate: £13.00
Person Specification
Previous experience as a cleaner is desirable but not essential if the candidate has a willingness to learn under instruction.
The successful applicant will have enthusiasm for the role, a good work ethic and high cleaning standards.
He or she will be willing to adapt their working hours to suit hall hires and user requirements and to liaise with the second cleaner to share weekend work and cover holidays.
We expect high levels of honesty and integrity as access to all areas of the village hall will be given and to cleaning supplies and equipment. The village hall is regularly attended by children from Hale School and sometimes by vulnerable adults.
We are looking for a candidate who can follow our cleaning schedule but can show initiative if something needs cleaning that isn’t on the schedule. The successful applicant must be willing to take instruction as necessary.
Ideally, the successful applicant will have the ability to visit our website calendar to check hire times and work around them.
